When it comes to painting your home, the actual act of painting isn’t that hard, it just requires focusing on even coverage without drips. In our opinion, the prep work is of utmost importance to the integrity of the final paint job. Prep work includes: taping things you don’t want to be painted like windows, scraping off “flaking” old paint, sanding rough surfaces, caulking cracks, priming bare wood metal or plastic, and even power-washing or wiping down a surface prior to applying the top coat of paint.
